Labor New Media Manager
The New Organizing Institute, a DC nonprofit, is seeking a full-time Labor New Media Manager to work closely with labor unions and allied groups to strengthen the adaption and integration of new organizing work in the Union movement.
The ideal candidate will have over two or more years of experience in the Labor movement, experience with new media, online organizing and technology, and strong ties to the progressive movement.
This position is based in Washington, DC.
Duties:
The NOI Labor New Media Manager will be part of a wide variety of exciting projects, including but not limited to:
- Manage labor new media trainings including NOI's annual Labor BootCamp
- Support the NOI Campaigns team with online organizing work and coaching in economic justice campaigns
- Develop curriculum for online organizing in labor and economic justice.
- Educate Union leadership on the importance of new organizing tools, technologies, methodologies and working with the community to find the best way these tools can assist with the organizing strategies
- Work with state-level and local union programs to provide training and support
- Connecting with labor schools and programs to bring curriculum into their programs
- Work to push the technology vendors to develop appropriate tools and interfaces for union organizing activities
Skilled candidates will be strong organizers, able to multi-task efficiently, work well with a diverse group of people, have a solid knowledge of the latest organizing tools online and offline, and have innovative ideas for the future of Union organizing.

Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience plus standard health and vacation benefits.
