Don't GOTV Without It

Remember 2008, when voters turned out in unprecedented numbers to make their voices heard? Remember the excitement and anticipation on election night?

Now think of the 1.9 million people who wanted to vote that year, but couldn't find their polling place. Today, the Voting Information Project's Polling Place Locator makes that barrier a relic of the past.

For the first time in American history, every voter can now look up their polling place on one website: yours.

Thanks to the Voting Information Project, all voters have to do is go to your site and enter their address. All you have to do is take 90 seconds to embed this free gadget. Go to the Google Election Center, customize the gadget's appearance, and paste one line of code into your site. Voila! It's as easy as embedding a YouTube video.

You can change the color, the size, even the name of the gadget to reflect your unique relationship to voters. Then, everyone visiting your site will know exactly where to cast their ballots on November 2.

The gadget was produced by the Voting Information Project -- a partnership of NOI, Google, the Pew Center on the States and local election officials. It's already embedded on the sites of the Virginia State Board of Elections, the Miami Herald, the San Jose Mercury News, the Baltimore Sun, and dozens of campaigns across the country.

Now, we're excited to share it with you. Enjoy.
